Gay Scientists Have Isolated The Christian Gene

Finally, a break through!

3D Ron Paul

I’ve seen my fair share of Ron Paul videos over the last year, but this video that came out is truly amazing.

Makes you sad that America had a chance to save itself, and missed the opportunity.

In Memory of RFK

RFKNothing much to say here, as these videos speak for themselves. Today isn’t a special day but every so often I come back and listen to these videos.  Both of these videos are two of my favorite videos available online and I thought I would share them with you.

The first one is a recording of Ted Kennedy giving a eulogy Robert Kennedy. It’s a very emotional eulogy, and the end is very moving. It is done with some really nice music and picture montage.

In the first video, Ted Kennedy is reciting a part of a speech Bobby gave. Here is more of that speech called “Mindless Menace of Violence”

Who Owns Us?

usaflagpinGrowing up I was always a big fan of George Carlin. I have a lot of his favorite routines partially memorized because of the countless times I played this albums over and over. In the last several years, I haven’t been as impressed with him because of the needless swearing. Now, I don’t want to give the impression that swearing bugs me or that I hold some moral objection to it but when used too much and too often on a TV show or in a movie (or in this case, a comedy routine) it really becomes a distraction.

Anyway, I recently came across this video of George Carlin that was edited to give some visual aids to what he was saying. I thought I’d share the sad truth with you.

“Because the owners know the truth. It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.”

Support For McCain Confuses Me

John McCainI stand here with a puzzled look on my face while I try to comprehend why people are voting for John McCain. It baffles me when I hear that some 70% (or so) of Americans want out of Iraq, yet they vote for this war mongerer who knows as much about the economy as my fairly intelligent cat who figured out how to open the cabinets in my kitchen.

If I had to pick someone who was running on the GOP side who was the most unqualified, hands down it would be John McCain. People often mock Ron Paul and say how he should be running as a Democrat instead of a Republican, yet the republicans in this country have been voting for one of the most liberal candidates on the stage who turned “more conservative” to have a shot at this 2008 election. McCain was also quoted a few weeks back to saying that he has no problems keeping America in Iraq for 100 years if needed. That is 5 generations of Americans committed to a no-win war. Then he goes on saying that it isn’t American presents in the middle east that angers those countries. I wonder if this guy has ever read a book in his life, and if you know me that is saying a lot. I don’t understand why people are voting for him.

I can only assume that people are drawn to this false illusion that John McCain is some type of courageous wartime hero. I believe all Americans who served in our armed services should be treated with respect and honor, but sometimes enough is enough. When you lie about it and then cover your own tracks, thats where I have a problem.

Again, thank you for your service to our country McCain. But it is time to step down.

I recommend you watch these two “trailers” from a documentary coming out called “Missing, Presumed Dead.” McCain isn’t this war hero that he plays himself to be to win votes and excuse his arrogance that we need to continue fighting the Iraq.

A Glimpse Into The Future

I haven’t posted for awhile, so I thought I’d share this. Is this a glimpse of the baby boomers 10 years from now?

Evolution Proven False: Proof Using Peanut Butter

EvolutionI sat down and looked at all the scientific evidence available. I came to the conclusion that, without a doubt, evolution has the most solid evidence backing it up, and believed that that any other theory was the not correct due to lack of solid evidence.

But, that was before I saw this video. They make make a tough point here. How can you argue when you’re going against evidence like this.

If You Can’t Beat Him, Laugh At Him

Ron PaulIt would appear that the Giuliani Campaign has shifted gears. First, instead of mentioning 9/11 in every answer, he decided to mention that he isn’t talking about 9/11 is almost every answer. His second shift in strategy is now to laugh at Ron Paul whenever a question was directed towards him.

If you watched the debate last night you can hear him laughing at Ron Paul during an answer, before a question was even asked, and even during the time when the question was being given. What kind of unprofessional garbage is this? This isn’t a debate to determine who will be the 9th grade class president. While it is hard to say who exactly laughed each time, it was obvious that Giuliani and Romney did.

Giuliani learned at the first debate that he cannot take on Ron Paul. Romney also knew better not to try. Last time Giuliani took on Ron Paul, he was shot down and it became apparent to the people watching that Giuliani is not as educated on several of the issues he campaigns on. So instead of being made a fool again by actually responding back to Ron Paul on matters that he didn’t agree with (like Huckabee did), he took the cowards way out and just laughed in the microphone.

Even during the debate, Fox News would occasionally throw up a split screen where you can see Giuliani with a huge idiotic smile on his face, licking his lips, and laughing. A very distinctive laugh if you’ve been following the presidential race over the last few months.

A Horrible Decade: The 80’s

1980'sEvery so often I’m reminded of how horrible the 80’s actually were. I’m thankful that I was too young to remember much of 80’s (except of course, the cartoons).

Do you think I’m wrong? I know that there are a lot of people who rocked out to all the big hair bands, idolized Punky Brewster, called 867-5309 and wore leg warmers who will try to disagree with me. Let me remind you how bad they actually were with this little flashback.

Here is a clip from a movie called Teen Witch.

“Look how funky he is. I’ll never be hip.”

Do you agree with me now?

Richard Dawkins: Halibut Evolution

Richard DawkinsI came across this video not to long ago. It’s pretty short but it gives you a little science lesson on the evolution of the Halibut (or the Flatfish). Interesting stuff.

Taken from the Wikipedia article on the Halibut

When the Halibut is born the eyes are on both sides of its head so it has to swim like a salmon. After about 6 months one eye will migrate to the other side of its head, making it look more like the flounder . This happens at the same time that the stationary eyed side begins to develop a blackish-grey pigment while the other side remains white. This disguises a halibut from above (blending with the ocean floor) and from below (blending into the light from the sky).
