Here is AT&T’s response to the claims that they participated with the NSA to follow out the domestic spying initiative created by our favorite administration.
San Antonio, Texas, June 27, 2006
At AT&T, we vigorously protect our customers’ privacy and only share information as specifically authorized by the law.
The news media have carried reports alleging that AT&T is participating in an unlawful NSA terrorist surveillance program. Unfortunately, the law does not permit AT&T to respond to those allegations.
The U.S. Department of Justice has stated that AT&T may neither confirm nor deny AT&T’s participation in the alleged NSA program because doing so would cause “exceptionally grave harm to national security” and would violate both civil and criminal statutes. Under these circumstances, AT&T is not able to respond to such allegations.
What we can say is AT&T is fully committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and would not provide customer information to any government agency except as specifically authorized under the law.
Why don’t they just say, “Yes, we worked with the government and spied on you and there is nothing you can do about it.” The fact that the U.S. Department of Justice has told AT&T that they cannot confirm nor deny it speaks volumes. Obviously if AT&T wasn’t involved, the government wouldn’t tell AT&T what they can or cannot say.

I laughed at this for a few minutes. Though imagine all the husbands that would be buried with this on their tombstone if permitted.
Leave the woman alone. I’m sure the name fit the dog. It would fit my one cat perfectly.
Here are just some random images that made me laugh that I’ve collected over the last few weeks. Thought I’d share.

If you’re like me you’ve probably sat in your fair share of traffic jams. I make a daily commute and experience a varying degree of traffic patterns. On random days I can zip right home without any hitting any traffic or I’ll hit a wall of traffic causing me to be late getting home. Usually these are caused by someone getting pulled over or in some sort of accident
Today I want to focus focus on a common traffic jam caused by phantom accidents. You’ve probably experienced many of these without even realizing it. Let me explain to you what I mean.

I recently watched an interview on YouTube between Larry David and Ricky Gervais (highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it) and they discuss using curse words in what they write. They both agreed that if used correctly it can actually enhance a script. If you live in America, they still ‘beep’ out swear words. Television stations think that my innocent ears could not bear to hear the word ’shit’, yet they believe if they say ’shi(part of the t) *beep*’ that somehow we have been protected and everything will be alright. I would love to be able to watch the Daily Show and not have some of the funniest parts beeped out. It should be my choice if I want my television to censor content or not.
In all of this, I find that the most interesting part about channels like Comedy Central, TNT, and so-forth isĀ that they censor these words on a voluntary basis (network cable channels are outside of the FCC’s influence).
So, I thought it might be interesting to do a some quick research to figure out where these words actually came from.
