I came across this little cartoon and had a good laugh. I thought I’d share.

I’ve seen my fair share of Ron Paul videos over the last year, but this video that came out is truly amazing.
Makes you sad that America had a chance to save itself, and missed the opportunity.
Nothing much to say here, as these videos speak for themselves. Today isn’t a special day but every so often I come back and listen to these videos. Both of these videos are two of my favorite videos available online and I thought I would share them with you.
The first one is a recording of Ted Kennedy giving a eulogy Robert Kennedy. It’s a very emotional eulogy, and the end is very moving. It is done with some really nice music and picture montage.
In the first video, Ted Kennedy is reciting a part of a speech Bobby gave. Here is more of that speech called “Mindless Menace of Violence”
Growing up I was always a big fan of George Carlin. I have a lot of his favorite routines partially memorized because of the countless times I played this albums over and over. In the last several years, I haven’t been as impressed with him because of the needless swearing. Now, I don’t want to give the impression that swearing bugs me or that I hold some moral objection to it but when used too much and too often on a TV show or in a movie (or in this case, a comedy routine) it really becomes a distraction.
Anyway, I recently came across this video of George Carlin that was edited to give some visual aids to what he was saying. I thought I’d share the sad truth with you.
“Because the owners know the truth. It’s called the American Dream, because you have to be asleep to believe it.”
I stand here with a puzzled look on my face while I try to comprehend why people are voting for John McCain. It baffles me when I hear that some 70% (or so) of Americans want out of Iraq, yet they vote for this war mongerer who knows as much about the economy as my fairly intelligent cat who figured out how to open the cabinets in my kitchen.
If I had to pick someone who was running on the GOP side who was the most unqualified, hands down it would be John McCain. People often mock Ron Paul and say how he should be running as a Democrat instead of a Republican, yet the republicans in this country have been voting for one of the most liberal candidates on the stage who turned “more conservative” to have a shot at this 2008 election. McCain was also quoted a few weeks back to saying that he has no problems keeping America in Iraq for 100 years if needed. That is 5 generations of Americans committed to a no-win war. Then he goes on saying that it isn’t American presents in the middle east that angers those countries. I wonder if this guy has ever read a book in his life, and if you know me that is saying a lot. I don’t understand why people are voting for him.
I can only assume that people are drawn to this false illusion that John McCain is some type of courageous wartime hero. I believe all Americans who served in our armed services should be treated with respect and honor, but sometimes enough is enough. When you lie about it and then cover your own tracks, thats where I have a problem.
Again, thank you for your service to our country McCain. But it is time to step down.
I recommend you watch these two “trailers” from a documentary coming out called “Missing, Presumed Dead.” McCain isn’t this war hero that he plays himself to be to win votes and excuse his arrogance that we need to continue fighting the Iraq.
Before anyone jumps down my throat with the usual defense that John McCain was a POW who served bravely in Vietnam so he deserves more respect, please read the whole article before jumping to any conclusions.
First off, I am well aware that he was a prisoner of war, and gave a lot to this country. No one is arguing that, denying that or discounting that. He has given more to this country than I probably ever will. When he was given permission to leave early, he refused any special treatment. He has my respect for his service to his country, but beyond that he is just another politician says anything he can to get a vote. A liar is a liar.
People like to use his past as an excuse for his positions and actions now. When you criticize his position on Iraq the usual response is because he was a POW he knows what he is talking about. As much as you or he might want, his history cannot be used as a shield.
As I sat in front of my TV with my fists clenched in anger during the CNN/YouTube “Debate” last night, McCain addressed Ron Paul regarding his position on pulling out of Iraq. For those who are not aware, throughout the campaign, McCain has been running his campaign on a pro-war agenda. He continuously stands up and says that the surge is working and that we have to stay and win (whatever winning means).
“The best thing we can do for the Iraqi people is to give them their country back. That’s the most important thing that we can do. Just think of the cleaning up of the mess after we left Vietnam. Vietnam is now a friend of ours. We trade with them. Their president comes here. What we achieved in peace was unachievable in 20 years of the Americans and the French being in Vietnam. So it’s time for us to take care of America first.”

Yes, that’s right, I’m talking to you. You know who you are. Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about or who I’m talking to. I’m talking to all those supporters of Hillary Clinton who are saying now they will go and support and vote for John McCain. Do everyone a favor and just admit that you only supported Hillary Clinton because she was a women, not because of the policies she advocated. It would make it so much more easier on us.
