I was going through some old folders and I came across this Far Side comic that I found several years ago. If I recall this comic was dated somewhere between 1989 and 1990.
While it’s no question that most, if not all of all The Far Side comics are absolutely hilarious, I like this one in particular because I can relate it to my childhood (humorously, of course).

What are you talking about? It IS a reality, and has been for a while. Video game developers are making HUGE bucks, even the game testers are getting paid damn well for what they do. Quite possibly some of the coolest/easiest jobs in the world.
actually, game testers get paid minimum wage and dont get to play the game for ‘fun’
they sit in a room and do the same thing over and over, such as turning the console on then off, then on, then off. Or repeating the same stage repeatedly under different temperatures.

Yes, game developers get paid very well, while game testers get paid dirt, and are the lowest people on the totem pole.
While it is a highly sought after and expanding position, its still mediocre pay and the work isnt so much fun while doing it as is rewarding when its done.
