Ron Paul: More Money Than McCain

Ron PaulUnfortunately in American politics, if you want to run for any type of office you need to have a lot of money. Barrack Obama has already raised $32.5 million. Ron Paul now has $2.4 million dollars, while McCain sits at $2 million. I know what you’re thinking. Rudy Giuliani has $18 million in the bank, and Mitt Romney has $12 million. And on top of all of that McCain is still ahead of Ron Paul in the polls.

“I think some of the candidates are on the down-slope, and we’re on the up-slope,” said Paul.

I also believe this is the case. Ron Paul is slowly by surely climbing his way to the top. McCain has been slowly losing support. The bad news is that Giuliani is still in the lead. That blows my mind. Why on Earth would anyone want to vote for him? He is just as educated as George Bush. And on top of it all, he supports George Bush.

Benjamin Franklin once said:

“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”

Well said Mr. Franklin. I think most decent minded Americans would agree with you. Yet, people still actually want Giuliani to be elected as the President? Am I missing something?

Rudy Giuliani

“Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.” -Rudy Giuliani

Imagine a President with a view like that. You think warrentless wiretapping is a problem? Go ahead and elect Giuliani and see what type of mess he’ll get us into.

To end this rant, I leave you with some words from Ron Paul.

“Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security. Understanding the magnificent rewards of a free society makes us unbashful in its promotion, fully realizing that maximum wealth is created and the greatest chance for peace comes from a society respectful of individual liberty.”

Go register to vote if you haven’t already. Vote Ron Paul for President.

(Plus, Giuliani is a pain to spell. You know how many times I mistyped it? We don’t need a President with a last name that is difficult to spell. Think back on all the presidents in the last 50 years and tell me who had a harder name to spell than Giuliani is.)
